WebSite SEO Preperation

We provide SEO services for several high-end web sites and small businesses. Many times clients are having their website re-designed and require guidence on how to prepare the site for maximum Search Engine Optimization. Here is a list for getting a new site ready.

1. Create unique Titles, Meta description and Meta keywords for every page on your site.
2. Create unique and individual HTML pages for every page of the site.(Not a flash movie with several pages in one movie)
3. Make sure there are HTML links for every page. (Not JavaScript or flash)
4. Use descriptive title attributes in every HTML link (HREF Tag)
5. Make sure each image (IMG Tag) uses descriptive ALT attributes.
6. Implement valid CSS 2.0 and valid HTML 4.01 (or XHTML).
7. Always put JavaScript and CSS in a separate linked file (not embedded in the pages).
8. Create a site-map that lists a link for every page in the site. (And A Google Sitemap)
9. Ensure there is a privacy policy, link to it on the bottom of every page.
10. Ensure every page is copyrighted with the © symbol and the word copyright and year.
11. Create SEO friendly filenames for URL's - example:
    Use: www.mywebsite.com/html/green-automatic-indoor-widget.html
    Not: www.mywebsite.com/html/gr_a_inwid.html
